Los 3637 1909 1C VDB Doubled Die Obverse MS65 Red PCGS. FS-1101. The
date is nicely die doubled on this lustrous wheat-gold Gem. Light
die doubling is also present on the final letters in LIBERTY. The
VDB initials are well brought up, and the remainder of the strike
is also exemplary. Population: 18 in 65 (1 in 65+) Red, 6 finer

Los 3238 1909-S VDB 1C MS64 Red PCGS. Widely hoarded at the time of
its release, the 1909-S VDB is fairly available in all grades.
Still, this first-year-of-issue American classic sells quickly, and
remains one of the most famous, popular coins in numismatics. This
specimen is sharply impressed, and displays reddish-pink and
coppery-gold patination. There is some noticeable spotting on each
side, and a few minute contact marks are seen on Lincoln's face and
jacket. Housed in a green label holder.
