(g) George III (1760-1820), Third-Guinea, 1800, Type I, first laureate head right, rev. crown, date in legend, edge obliquely milled, 2.78g [43.0grns], 1h (MCE 452; EGC 870; Spink 3738), bright but lustrous with wisps of flecking interspersed with orangey tone, a small dent in reverse field, otherwise a bold very fine, a less frequently encountered date and the last of issue.
